Welcome from Alvin Texas. Nice set up! I've been waiting for someone to drop a 5.3l in a Colorado. IMO that engine is the most manipulative. I believe it can be done.

 

The factory 5.3 Colorado's are a drag, but mine...

 

CC05 mine ran strong for 169k mi. Now going for 6.0 swap.

 

I actually blew my first 2.8 after 60K, bought a new 2.8 and have sprayed the **** out of it for 20K and it's still going strong. It's amazing what a difference a good tune can do, but hopefully it won't be much longer until my truck is sporting this LS that I'm building.

 

Ha, I blew my 1st GM transmission at 60k... like you didn't see it coming.
