If gauges are your biggest hang up, when you get serious about this your wallet is in for a world of hurt. It's not a cheap game to play.

I looked into the same "kits". They are universal. No hot pipes, no injectors, no way to mount, no bigger fuel pump, I am sure I missed a few needed parts. You will exceed the price of a sponsor complete kit before all said and done to make the universal kit work in your truck. Just my .02 Good Luck

V6 Turbo's in mini can whoop! Syty.net knows tons more about the 4.3 turbo motor than any other website IMO. Thats mostly what we all deal with! You might be able to get a whole Syclone motor for less than 1500 bucks turbo and all!

The biggest problem with the 4.3's is the injector style. They use those stupid poppet style that only flow about 19lbs/hr, and they aren't upgradeable. You have to go to a Mercruiser marine intake manifold that uses that standard injectors that you can replace with whatever. Without doing that you may only be able to run 5 or so psi, the 4.3 engine itself is tough **** they just don't have the fuel system to support any mods. You could make up for a bit of this with meth injection, but it's still not a desireable setup.

I was reading the 4.3 turbo budget build, and it's really making me think twice about this. Honestly I'm just looking for some horsepower gains with out droping in so much money and making the truck not being able to even run down the road.

Default 4.3 turbo on a budget??? Not so much...

by the time you get done doing it right you may as well have bought a Sy / Ty...

It sounds good but fueling, ECM control, Built tranny, it will NIckel and dime you to death...

Take it from me...
