I just came from tbssowners.com, where there's maybe 7 people that frequent that forum and every one of them does nothing but dick ride RPM and FLT for transmissions.

The guys that never done the swap sit there and complain about the power loss on the 80E and how the taller first gear is just oh-so horrid.

I spent hours on there providing useful swap information and helping other members with issues to the best of my knowledge. I went to innocently post some parts for sale, with descriptions, with prices, location, and hi-red photos hosted on my google account, and got harassed by one of the mods there instantly. The guy that I was having a disagreement with about RPM's shitty warranty flags my for sale post right away and deletes it, telling me a link to my VERY HI-RES photos is not good enough, making me re-do everything.

It kills me how ************* want to talk **** and act tough on the internet. It's why I barely got on here anymore makes me want to shoot someone.

Anyhow trying to stay civil here, just tell me now, is this place full of overbearing regulation and dipshits? If so I'll just be on my way. If it's full of genuine guys just trying to mod vehicles and giving helpful info then I think I found my place

I'm not on FB because of the bullshit drama. I barely come online because of the way people act on here, then act an entire different way in person. But when I do come online I dont want some little nerdy kid talking ****. My life is too busy for that crap

This site is better than that one hands down.

Most of the people that get harassed are by people that know them already and normally in good taste. Though sometimes some people deserve to get **** on for various reasons lol.

You'll like it here if you wish to stay, I enjoy reading and trying to help as do many others.

As for the transmission comments, they just sound like nut swingers that don't like change or being different. 4L80e trumps all when when wanting big power. (speaking in reference to the 60e and 70e.)

 

The few times ive hit tbssonwers looking for info, the info always seemed to be off, and attitudes were ridiculous....

Anyway, not looking to show off at all, just have a basic e-fan LQ4 TBSS with 4L80E as my DD

The camaro gets all the attention when I can afford it, house duties are always 1st priority. The camaro is a 92, with a LS2 and tick level 5 tr6060 mag, ford 9", etc puts down at the tire 475, 560 out of the crank which is more than enough for me to drive to car shows and meet new cool people

Speaking of car shows I can usually tell the good guys from the *********, I'm just glad they don't ever have the ***** to come up to you in person. The events usually go very smooth....I can't wait for the next car show lol (paradise for me)

This is the best forum in terms of personality and temperament that I've ever been on. Very good crew here as long as you aren't a dick in general.

What you will find is some people are more strong-willed than others but I've never seen anyone get put down for anything. (trying not to remember George's thread on purpose)

There's a lot of good people on here. I debated joining for a long time but haven't regretted a second. Everyone has their bad days for the most part the group wants to help. Other than a certain banned individual that I won't mention, the only time I've ever seen it get rough is when someone asks for guidance then gets upset when the responses aren't what they wanted to hear.

I agree, this is the most helpful and up to date forum I have been on. 90% of people will push 80 swaps here also, there are few of us trying to make power with the 60s.
