Default Been on here a few years but just signed up

I found this site a few years ago when I bought my truck in bone stock form. I've spent alot of time reading and trying to soak up info and finally signed up. Tons of cool rides on here!

My truck is a 2004 RCSB 4.8 auto. I haven't done to much with it yet due to plans for a blown 6.0 80e swap in the future when i have another DD.

Only performance stuff so far is a K&N intake and a cat-back. I'm looking to get a mail tune soon but can't decide who to go with, seems like all the sponsors on here have good reps.

Also ordering a 40k trans cooler bc I'm about to have to start pulling a travel trailer for work every once in a while. The truck has factory tow package but the factory aux atf cooler looks tiny.

Exterior stuff:

grill
hid's
smoked lights at all corners
no badges or moldings
led tail lights
22"s with nitto 420s
2.5" shackles

Here is a pic of my truck

Thanks, I try to keep it clean. I've thought about staying with the 4.8 and a turbo...I was just looking at trick's turbo kits a few days ago. Foose has that red reg cab turbo 4.8 right? He puts down some big numbers.

Right now my #1 priority is reliability. The school I go to sends me on internships every two months and when I go I have to pull the 27' travel trailer I live in. Don't have time to be down working out bugs and/or break something (trans.)

I'm actually wondering if my trans is going to make the next trip pulling the trailer. Going be in Roswell, NM (550 miles on way) pulling a 5,000+ pound trailer with a ton of wind resistance. It's got 134,000 on it now. I bought it with 94,000 and the guy told me he never changed the fluid so I don't think I'm going to touch it and keep my fingers crossed. I did put a corvette servo in it so hopefully that will help and just order a tru cool 40k yesterday.

I saw in your profile you have a Blackbear tune...? I emailed them through their site a few days ago but haven't heard back yet. Did it take awhile for you to hear back?

welcome from Stillwater. There is a guy in Oklahoma City, named Glynn that does tuning. But I used Black Bear, he had a tuning session in Wichita Kansas, so I drove up.

Nice looking truck, and welcome man.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Blue - I would rather do an in person tune but time constraints won't allow it right now. Will do one once I get some more serious mods going. You like what blackbear did for you?

Paulie - First time I've heard of another just like it. Nobody has said anything about the pin strip but I HATE it. Did you take yours off? I want to but kinda think it will leave a fade mark under it and not really sure the best way to get it off. Some parts of it have just worn off already.
