Default Another new guy needing some help

How is every one doing on here I have been racking my brian for awhile now trying to figure this out and I'm glad i found this site. If anyone could help me out it would be great. I have a 99 silverado with 4.3 and i want to go to a 5.3. I was looking a getting the 5.3L from SDparts. What will work off my 4.3 on the 5.3 and what other parts will I need to get to finish the swap besides PCM, wiring harness, fuel injection, and exhaust. Was reading about one that did this to his I think that it was around a 14sec truck but had done alot more to the engine.

Welcome! Check out all the archive on the v6 -> v8 swaps, there's a lot of good info here. If I were you I'd actually look into a 6.0 swap vice the 5.3 swap though... way more potential.

What kind of parts are you looking for? Check out the sponsers ---->>>

Also regaurdless of getting a 5.3L or a 6.0L I would look for a good pull out long block motor that has everything on it. I think that will be cheaper then trying to piece to gether the fuel system and sensors.
