Default 91 K1500 LQ9 swap

Hey everybody just registered with the site, currently have a 1991 k1500 350 tbi, only thing done to it atm is new exhaust manifold, and flowmaster dual exhausts 4 inch lift.. some basic ****.. Looking into doing a LQ9 swap this summer, was wondering if anyone has done one before, any tips, advice and will it pass DMV emissions testing with a 00-04 lq motor in it?

Run the factory cats and it will pass the sniffer test.

99-03ish I think are LQ4 motors aswell. Not like that matters, but I'd suggest not getting one with iron heads.

The DMV does not do Emissions testing, The state does.

What state are you in as every state has different laws and requirements that you must meet for engine swaps?
