Default 5.3 STS from Austin TX

Hey guys, I've been lurking for a bit. I own a custom bodyshop out here in Austin TX. I've got several different toys but I'm working on my shop truck right now. I bought a STS Turbo kit with GT67/intercooler upgrade for my 01 silverado EC a year ago but never put it on. I'm in the process of installing it now so I'll be posting up questions as I go along. The mods so far for installation is:

STS kit w GT67 and intercooler
42# injectors
05 electric fans
34" radiator
145 amp alt
FLT Level 5 4l65e tranny
2400-2600 Precision stall
Nelson Tune

I've read a lot of helpful posts and appreciate sites like this that offer so much knowledge...

By the way speed, me and a buddy are going to be installing my sts kit on my truck this coming weekend if you want to come by and lend a hand and get an idea for how the kit goes on shoot me a pm. We will also be swapping out the fuel pump for a dual hobbs switch setup and a few other things.

Stewart we'll have to drink a few brews, holler at me when/if you come up here.

You may want to consider a 3k stall. With the old 5.3, 60e and gt-67 I could not build any boost off the line. I had a 2600 stall at the time.

1slow01z71-I've got prior commitments this weekend but we'll hookup for sure in the future since you're in Austin also.

quicksilverado- I'm doing a bit of towing with this truck once in a long while so I hear that the 3k isn't great for towing. Any truth to this?

With a large trans cooler you will be fine iwth a larger converter. I towed 4K worth of extra crap in my Z71 and a 3900 stall but I have a 40K GVW cooler. Get you a big cooler and you will be fine with a 3K or even more.
