I put the stock distributor back in it. It still does a lot of strange things. I set the timing to 4 degrees and it was idled up way to high. Turned the timing domn were it idled decent and it really didnt like that. Didnt want to run when you gave it the gas. with the timing set right or not. When you first started it. It would idle way up. Like 1500 RPM's. for a few mins then idle back down. weither it was warm or cold.I got the timing set where it would let you give it the gas and not cut off. Drove it down the road to a freinds house. Stayed there for maybe a hour. When I started it to leave it was idled way up again and if you tryed to put it in gear or give it any gas it would cut off untill it idled down on its own. then it was fine. It might all have something to do with the fact that the truck sat for a long time. All the hoses and gaskets are dried up and leaking.
