Default 408 stroker HELP

I just need a little help here. Ive read so many posts im confused bad. I have a 6.0l brand new block #12551364. It was purchased from gm years ago and i bought from them. Want to build the 408 with the k1 weisco stroker kit shown on gmhighperformance mag. I am planting it in a tubbed 83 chevy short bed. anyway i need to know the heads to use. and if im just wasting my time with a 408 stroker. ive read on some posts that you can get 440 hp without stroking the 6.0l. Any help would be appreciated.

i really dont know a lot about this stuff. But i think i need either the 243 or l92 heads. the kit is coming from flatlander. I also need to know what the diffrence is for the yellow springs in the 243 heads ????? and what work need to be done on the heads after i purchase them. I just want 500 hp and know that the 6.0 stroker is probably the best way to accomplish this in a short wide. Thanks
