I edited the first post because I found out it had 4.10 gears instead of 3.73 gears like I originally posted.
Finally picked it up today, they had to repair the climate control switch because it was stuck on the defrost setting.
Got the front bowtie painted black and bull bar installed, looks good, in my humble opinion.

Looks nice! Pull off the center cap and paint the wheels black with the silver cap! Will help give good police interceptor look. Here's a picture of a set I did on my NNBS

Brutal, I like your suggestion. Are those stock wheels? Looks good. I have an extra set of wheels from my old long gone Suburban with bigger BF Goodrich All Terrain Radials. Maybe I'll experiment on those wheels. I'm guessing dismounting the tires makes them easiet to sand and paint, but can you paint them with the tires still mounted if you mask the tires off real good?

Photobucket is some ****, I need a new hosting service; But I have an '02 SSV I bought in July of '11. Best damn truck Ive ever owned. She's quite a bit different now than when I bought her. Mine served as a K9 unit, here in NM all SSVs are K9 units.
Bit of info for you, GT4 package trucks were used/spec'd in highway situations and GT5 trucks like yours were meant for city use.
Mine came with maintenance and history logs, and I can tell you that they do take care of them. Mine had its compressor replaced twice, fuel pump twice, trans once and rear end once. In 126k that was a lot of work, but they replace things based on noise too. My G80 was swapped out because it was whining, same with the compressors. Trans because 4L60, no one needs any explanation on that lol.

Good to hear from another SSV owner. This truck was probably K-9 too. You can see where a cage divider was installed behind the rear seats and it looks like toenail scratches on the plastic side panel in the cargo area.
When I got the new tires mounted the other day, the tech told me I needed new front shocks and alignment. I had put rear shocks on last year, so I changed out the front to match. The front end sagged, so I crank up the torsion bars as much as I dared, which raised the front 1/2" and made it ride like crap. So, I replaced the torsion bars and got some of the front height back. I was not trying to "level" it, because I want the back end to be 1" to 1.5" higher for towing and hauling.
Long story short, the torsion bars were a pain to remove because they were rusted solid. Once finally done, I got the front end aligned. They noticed a rear caliper was dragging causing the rotor to get hot. I limped it back home and rebuilt the brakes. Hopefully, I'm finally ready for winter.
