All you guys were close but it actually was a broken rocker arm above the #5 piston.

 

I thought there was a motorcycle on the background!!!

 

I wonder what kind of vacuum that thing has at idle!

I Think He Was At The Thunder Shootout Last Year . Bluecajun5.3 Has A Magazine With A Article About The Shootout. I Think That Truck Was In It Not Sure

Guys, he's already posted in this thread!!! That's 2000_silverado_ss's truck. Sounds a ton better in person, too.

 

Rocker arm ? Come on and tell us -- glass packs or the BIG tips ? Come on and let the secret out !

 

Believe it or not, it still is all in the rocker arms. I have 15 1.8 rocker arms and one 1.7 rocker arm mounted on my heads. Just ran out of the 1.8s, had to install whatever was laying around.

When it breaks again, that's when it starts to sound like it did in the video!
