Stock hemi vs Stock 5.3
#61
When my truck was w/o turbo, I ran a 9.81 1/8th and 15.3 to 15.5 1/4 miles times with my 4x4 QC and 92# aftermarket motto wheels. I'm sitting at 5800# race weight. It appears that most of the stories of the 5.3 whipping the 2wd RC hemi's are with those running 15's. Our hemi trucks are like the old 5.0 mustangs. 2 second difference from vehicle to vehicle. The 2wd RC hemi trucks run 13.7 to 15.7 it seems. I'd say 90% of them are 14.5 from reading the boards. So if you find a 15 second 2wd RC and beat it, lucky you.

My neighbor said he couldn't believe it he got out ran like that. All I forgot the dodge has a catback. That's been my experiance with the hemi's. As for the Camaro it has a stock ls6 w/boltons, must be a freak like yours.

i can officially say that i had the fastest "stock" QC Hemi. i was the ONLY hemi with CAI and exhaust that ran a 14.9. the only truck that i raced stock that ever stood a chance that i beat by 1/2 a truck length was an SS with unknown mods. i'll beat up on rumble bee's other hemi's with no prob w/ out the NX. SRT-10's, evo's, sti's, and most N/A ls1's in my area don't even stand a chance. ever since i've been putting new mods on. i haven't been able to run a the track since i've been trying to get everything together and working right. recently i ran an 8.9 at 82+ MPH in the 1/8 at 90+ weather. with 2.4-2.6 60' times. all my times are in street trim w/ 20's OR 22's. my 14.9 was ran WITH 22' wheels. hopefully within the next coming week i should be able to go out to the track again and maybe put on Colt's DR's and show you what a real QC Hemi can do.

well I know he can't. You guys are always hollerin' about tuning and not being able to do anything with out it, I guess when you get tuning you'll just zip right into the 10's. When that happens I my have to jump ship.............................................. ...........not
