from what i've seen hemi's run 15.1 at best, and i've seen a few stock 5.3's under 15. What are we considering stock anyways? i beat one at the track, and my entire drivetrain is stock, i ran a 14.5 with intake, exhaust, underdrive and tuning.

what would take a 5.3 to run 13.99 to 14? i would say like LoudAzzLoStepside with 4.1 gears and a stall?

well i know 4.10 gears and a 3000 stall with a cam is 12.9-13.1 range, so gears and a stall i imagine will get me right under 14 with traction on a good day. ( btw, all three are in the works. )

with 4.10 gears, exhaust, intake, tuning, 3k stall, with some 17's would lead to the low 13's or mid? thats pretty nice i cant wait to trade in my truck next year for a RC

Am i missing something here? Bone stock hemi ram vs. bone stock 5.3? Both regular cabs I assume. A buddy had a bone stock 5.3 with 4.10s and posi and he only ran repeated 15.3 at the track. Another buddy with a 4.8 with exhaust ran 16.0. My bro has an 04 hemi quad cab and has never lost to a chevy 5.3 ecsb truck. In fact none have come within a length. His has 3.92 with the sure-grip, posi equivalent. He has beaten quad cab hemis with 3.55 gears by one to two truck lengths. Some hemi owners need to chime in here. Seems like a slightly biased group of responses.

a hemiruns 15.1's if you get a good 5.3 03 and up with 4.1 gears it should easyly outrun a hemi by a bit, loud has very little mods and is runing 14.5's those mods droped like probably .5 .6 off his 1/4 i think. i got a video of a 5.3 with posi idk what slicks intake exhaust and tune RC vs a quad cab hemi intake exhaust superchips and 4.56's i think.

what is the definition of stock?
If intake, exhaust and tuning is stock most ALL hemis on the road will be considered stock because that's all that's out. And they are running anywhere from mid 13's up to the EC QC 4x4 on 33's running 16's.

Well Boyz, I can pull off the programmer and with just a CAI I can run 14.10's on street tires leaving the line @ idle and a feather.... Totally stock driveline, oh well spring clamps, 4740# race weight... valve covers have never been off... 42,000 miles, I guess I will get around to changing the plugs one of these days!
oh... and that is N/A..... did I mention FULL stock exhaust???
When HemiEdit comes out I will then get serious about modding
