It actually has more to do with having bigger wires so that there isn't any voltage drop issues and you get maximum fuel pump operation at all time.

I suppose a side product of not overloading the wire causing extra resistance is so that it doesn't run the risk of burning up the stock wiring.

I an not sure why people don't build there own. I have never priced one but all it consists of is a heavy fused wire from the battery, a relay so your stock wiring turns it on, and a bigger ground. Sometimes it is cheaper to buy a kit then wire and a relay I guess.

thanks I'm hoping to have it finished by spring I've only got a few odds and ends to finish up and then its off to get it tuned

i traded my built 60E for a stock rebuilt 80E threw a trans-go HD-2 in it and called it a day wasn't gonna waste my time with the 60E

I purchased a "built" 60e. On the plus side I've traded my 60e for an 80e as well and I have all the swap components. did you start a build thread?
