The 5.3 sounded sweet. The 6L is a little more tame. Thats to be expected. If you can slow the idle down with tuning it will sound just as good as the 5.3

I agree with the 5.3 sounding better at idle. Which bassani muffler are you using? casing size? is it the same for both clips?

Nice. Did you ever make it to the track with the 5.3? Any testing for the 6.0 to follow... dyno... track?

It's the L76 fuel rails and injectors. You just have to change the connectors on the truck harness. You can't beat the price of the the complete intake Inj,TB, sensors, etc. for $500. Its a truck water pump that we drilled and tapped the front casting to accept a 1" npt nipple. They are all still truck accessories.

I never made it to the track again with the 5.3 I was stuck at a 13.2 with it. The dyno #'s should be in the next few weeks. This motor is a little harder to tune than the 5.3 was, Just to many things changed all at once.
I will be going to the track with the 6.0 but they don't open up here for a few more months. If I had any ***** I would drive it to Fl. next month instead of flying.

The muffler is about 24 1/4" X 8 1/2". It's all the same exhaust between the 2 motors. The 5.3 had 18* of timing in park at idle and was at 850rpm with 10.5:1 compression. The 6.0 has about 35* timing and is at 1050 rpm and 10.76:1 compression. Once we get the idle airflow all straightened away I am going to try pulling some timing and rpm.

My 418 idled at 750-800 with a 237/242 112 so I dont see why you couldnt get that 6.0 to drop down near 800-850, good luck man Im very interested to see how it turns out.
