I heard about someone working on this or something like it over in England or Europe where they have speeding cameras EVERYWHERE. Pretty cool somebody actually came out with one that works.

That technology has been around for decades. Nuclear flash blindness goggles that Air Force bombers where do that. They use photodetectors to sense the flash and darken instantly for about 60 seconds. The govt. pays about 50K a pair, you could build a setup like that for a car for under $1000. Or you could just not run red lights, LOL!Prety nifty huh?

The shop at my work has welding goggles like that. They are clear until you start to weld and the go dark instantly.

***** Foto!

I already know of people who get tickets for getting stuck in "the box" when the light goes red and traffic is slow. Hell, I wrote over 500 bucks in checks for our work vans this year in Washington DC for this. The damn pic they send you shows 5 other cars sitting in the intersection. LOL City of Rockville, MD has been busted twice now for speeding up yellows to get you(maybe not busted, but in the newspaper with proof) What the hell is so wrong to ask the jurisdictions to "prove" without a doubt you ran the red light or was speeding. Simply taking a picture isn't necessarily the right way every way. Try fighting a ticket in DC one time, it's nearly impossible, no matter how right you are. If it wasn't about revenue then they would make it easier for you to challenge and prove your innocence. Breaking the law is stupid and if your caught-that's the way it goes. If you break the law and hurt or even kill somebody, you should certainly get the axe, but we shouldn't screw everybody else just to catch a few people running red lights. It's all about revenue, not safety. Hell, you can read local government meetings about them implementing such laws. cost vs collections is always brought up.***** Foto!

It's been proven there are more rear collision accidents at intersections with red light photo cameras. Safety my ***, all about the REVENUE!!!!
