Is that the TBI 454 engine from the early 90's? If so, those TBI 454's are known to be pigs/turds.

For comparison my 440 ran a 15.7
now with the ls1 swap......14.0.....what the hell? LOL before and after weight was a 600lb difference...

your 3200 stall pretty much makes up for any low end tq the 4.8 doesn't have vs the 454...

Many people told me i was going to miss the low end of the 440...I don't..if anything the 4l60e with the low 1st gear feels tourqeir then my 440 with the 727.

 

Yeah I think it's a 93 454 ss original ..... Yeah there's a lot of **** talking still... That my truck was cammed... Supercharged ... That I was squeezing ... Etc... That truck smoked my homies truck 07 rcsb 4.8 intake... Superchiped.. On stock 17's.. By 3 car lengths... So I was like it will be a close race... I just did my Lt 's and exhaust... So maybe that help too... I still watiting on a retune...
Also isn't his truck way lighter than mines???

 

my guess is the other 4.8 driver couldnt drive. TBI engines are the biggest pieces of **** ever.

 

some tv show tested these once, 15.8 all stock. If he was stock then I would of guessed you could of took him ease but I thought I would of been closer myself. I know they dont hook up to well did he spin?

 

Reminds me of what I did to this poor kids hemi... I was also untuned for my newly bolted headers.. (typo, buddy put 08 but i have a 07)

U can tell the converter from the launch, and yes it does wake up our low torque 4.8 however our trucks are heavy as **** so that was a good kill. One day I will be winning. Maybe when n if I ditchel the rims. Seriously thinking about selling or trading for a blower lol

 

07 Tahoe saw the vid way to claim the kill w/ hazards. Lol. Runs good man n sad thing is u can still haul 7 ppl
