i was there, the guy didnt do a burn out, whoever your friend is stew must of heard from a friend who heard it from a friend, the guys truck died everyone assumed he tried to do a burn out, he did a quick rev then the motor shut off, he kept trying to start it then before he knew it it went up in flames, only thing that went wrong drastically was the girl driving a truck did a quick turn and another girl fell out the back and busted her head and she was life flighted out, there were some burnouts though these were from the ones leaving, there were a hand full that tried and were then promptly escorted out the gates, HPT security was on top of there game, they didnt take no **** from anyone this time, it was a good windy ( lots of wind ) lol for racing. best event by far and its only gonna get better!! very well maintained and controlled astmosphere. i will say youll never beable to stop everyone from ******* up ***** gonna happen when beer and alcohol is involved, im sure everyone has acted stupid in there life time of drinking i know i have once or twice !! but the laws were there and did a great job of controlling it!!

its the nature of the beast when a bunch of ******** are drinking and cant hold there own!!!

but for the racers it was quick and fun no waits and the return lane was open for a quick return to the pits!!

Thats why you keep the hood down...the liner on the hood is meant to fall off and suffocate a fire in the event the engine is on fire.

 

What ever the deal is that sucks and too bad it had to be a chevy.

yeah man i apoligize just got alittle heated about the situation and just read what you posted, HPT went all out to make a great event and it was, now i'll admit the last one was fucked up with all the bullshit, there finally learning they cant make everyone happy and when you have events like this something is bound to happen.. i was one who wasnt gonna go neither but i decided to give it another go and im glad i went it was really cool was offered lots to eat and talked to alot of good people, it sux the younger crowd are the ones that screw things up.. like i mentioned i apologize!

ok so he wasnt doing a burnout. still a good pic. instead of saying "i heard" i will say that i assume it was a bunch of drunks burning out and fighting based on pictures and stories of the past events. Better?

Props to the HPT staff for organizing the event. someday i hope to have something that i can race in it. It's a shame that the spectators get out of control.
