one more question. how do i take the blocks out? i am used to the leafs being under the rearend. i have put a jack on the frame of the back of truck as high as i can i began loosing the u-bolts. is this the right way i dont want the spring to pop if thats possible.

I dont know about removing the blocks, never removed or installed any.

i put a jack stands under the rear end then jacked up the actual leaf spring till it came up off the block. then you can pull the block out.

well its a no go.. i pulled the block out and tried to re use the u- bolts they are about 1/4" to long. to where i tighten them all the way and its still loose. so i put it all back.. where can i find the correct shorter u-blots. tried gayer-zone. and they "dont" carry them.

hmmm mine worked fine....go to the dealership and buy 2wd u bolts...those will fit perfect....
or you could do this. go buy lift block kit from oriely or autozone 20 or 30 bucks, and it will come with u bolts....they will be long but they should be threaded all the way up the bolt...then you could hack saw the rest of the bolt off.

yea tried that also. the u'bolts they have are round on top. i will just go to the dealer and get 2wd bolts next week. thanks for your help.
