Default My POS Crew Cab

Right after I bought it:

shackles

Did the header thing

super cool cover

Just got VHO's not sure on them just yet!

and sound clip for those who have not been in my Cal Speed thread

I don't think I have really posted much on here about it, nothing really to say that the pictures can't. Obviously I've done very little. I ball on a budget

Thoughts on wheels. Sierra wheels were my first choice, followed by SS (comp grey) or these. Found a good deal on these, and never can on the others.

I've said I was doing 4/6, then 3/5, then 2/4...as of now nothing. I can't decide on doing a cam/stall within the year (may have to due to exhaust leak, and I'm thinking it is from the broken manifold bolts, **** you GM!) if I had to pull the heads.

I think I will eventually do a 2/4 with helpers. Our roads where I live aren't the greatest, it's a DD, and I refuse to ride around all day in something that is not fun/comfortable to drive.

I may sell/trade the wheels for NNBS Sierra's or SS wheels. Still not sure. Other than looks wise, nothing else besides paint mirror caps, emblem and rear bumper. HD hood would be nice, but more work and money than I care to invest right now with being a full-time student.

I have mixed opinions on VHOs. Some trucks don't look good with them. I think yours does though. I like the stance. It goes well with your tire height. If you went 2/4, I'd say go with a lower profile.

I'd say get a higher stall verter and a tune. Then do the cam later on. Get a converter that offers a free restall. That would make it a pretty nice running DD. Already sounds good.

Color match everything, if you do color match anything...imo.

I like the HD hoods on the '07 classic chevrolets. Not so much on the sierras. Just my opinion. Everyone knows what they are like. Definitely not a pos though

Sharp truck, i like it.

I think you need to tint the taillights, lose the moldings, and add a denali style grille, along with color matched mirror caps.

This will tie the whole truck together. I like the vho wheels, but put stuff on those dirty tires so we have a good clean pic to look at!!

My fav's also are the NNBS 6 spoke GMC 20's, but i also am a fan of the VHO's , i rock a set myself, not a lot of trucks have them.

I'm getting 275/55 just in case I go low, colormatching is already in the works, just need to drop the stuff off. The Sierra's look killer with HD hoods properly cut and painted. I hate tinted tail lights, I may candy these, or run new Silvy tails.

Molding I am half/half on. I actually like these molding over the Silverado moldings, and they serve a purpose. College students are ******* idiots, and unfortunately, even though I've been out of high school nearly 10 years, I am now a college student. There is no way they are coming off while I have to park on any campus. Shopping centers I can deal with as I park at the very back, or on the end of an aisle so I can hug the curb, that isn't always an option with campuses.

To do a stall, the y pipe will need to come off, so if I am already down, might as well yank the heads, fix the broken bolt issue, and do a cam. I'm hoping I won't have to do this either way, not for a while. I'm not excited to spend money I hand't already planned on. I'm fairly cheap, and prefer it that way.

Why do you refer to your truck as a POS?

Send me one of your center caps from your stock sierra wheels!

Good looking truck man! I personally like the VHO wheels, and it looks like you're headed in the right direction as far as mods/stance. Keep it up

He just wants attention. You know, just like when you say "it's slow" or "it's stock", when your vehicle really hauls ***? Jk about the attention part. Looks almost identical to my crew. I like the first set of wheels you had on it, and not a fan of where the exhaust exits. Overall, nice ride.

Definitely got a good LOL at the college kids part with the molding. Before you know it, you'll have a nice Carolla door into the side of your truck. I've got atleast four or five scratches on mine from the same situation.
