I'm no rice expert but I believe they call it a studder box, it dumps fuel at a set RPM to help build off the line boost since they can't powerbrake like a turbo/auto car can (buddy hast it on his AWD eclipse). It's not on the rev limiter it's running at a set RPM.

LOL...It's called "two step" cuts spark at a set rpm and builds boost.

Who's starting a fight? I just posted a vid of someone using the studder box to show how AWD cars launch.

 

I agree with you on the awd cars. better traction.
But someone needs to send the memo to all the guys in 2wd's. Alot of the more experienced guys are realistic, but majority of the ones i've seen think the bouncing needle is a countdown.

Edit: looks like someone already sent out a memo... "launch control" wish my automatic tranny had that. Save some money for a while.
