Transmission issues like a ****. Im very pissed and fustrated at this point. I havent had a tranny last me more than a week. So i took everyone advice and rewired the engine harness and tranny harness, new PCM, replaced diablo with SCT and went from a 4000 stall to a 3400 stall. So ill be picking her up today with a rebuilt junkyard tranny and stock converter and see if all that i replaced works. If so ill be doing a stand alone for the TCM and putting my ATS built tranny in with my 3400 stall and hit the track.

Since its so hot in texas im just going to enjoy her and creep her around until it cools off if all is good. If all that dont work ill be doing a T56 swap from a SRT10

Damn that thing runs hard! That time is really impressive! Those tires help off the line, but they are definitely hurting him in the long run... that combo must be realyl heavy! What body style was the 6.0 it was racing against? Also I'm surprised the Denali race wasnt closer. I have a buddy with a tune only Denali that ran a 13.84 but he was on steel 17's. I would think the addition of headers and a looser converter would gain him much more then .4 combined...

Also, how loose is the stock converter in those R/T's? I know they are a little looser than the regular rams, but I never had any idea by how much. 2600?

BTW its a real shame that GM doesnt offer the shorty shorty with the 6.2 as some sort of similar special edition SS or something... that would be a force to be reckoned with too.

He hasn't weighed the RT but the average weight W/O driver is 4900lbs according to many owner and my friend weighs 230lbs for a total of 5130lbs. The R/T comes with a 2600 stall which i have read sucks big time. There is another ram owner that went from a stock 2600 to a Circle D triple disk 2600 and gained .4ths.

The 6.0 he raced against was a NNBS Ext cab 6.0

this is a pic of the actual truck

I was more refering to the weight of the wheel/tire combo... just by going to a lighter combo he would make some nice gains.

I'm sure the stock converter is junk... but so is the TB converter I'm running which is also 2600.

I've got a 3400 in mine. I need some 17's cause it's hurting my 1/8 mile times. 32" tall tire... My Rt weighs 4720 without me and I'm 175lbs that was full trim

Oh yeah those 305/50r20 arent light. WHen i use to have 20s with those tires i weighed them and they weighed 85lbs each. I have 22's SRT10 now with a 285/35r22 and they weigh 80lbs each so those 20s are heavy.

My friend is saving to get a triple disk billet 3000 stall and hoeps to have it by the shootout. HE wants to break 12's with my track wheels and stall in cold weather N/A

Why you go with a 3400? You plan on camming it later? How doe sit feel with a 3400 stall.

If he's already gone 13.4 with the 20's then a converter change and track tires should get him there no sweat.
