I thought it was pretty funny, it seems like the trend for everything down there to be called la something. Why is that offensive?

Why tie up thousands and thousands of dollars just because?

Time to move on to bigger and better things, he had the truck for quite a while!

It'd be a shame for it to end up in a boneyard anywhere.

i was kinda tired of the truck. it was really too fast to race on the street. not much competition and unsafe running that quick. to go any quicker at the tracks would have been a real pain geting all the safety equipement and the cost would be prety high from everything needed upgraded. the difs and motor for sure needed beefed up. thats along with the safety equipment would be another $10k+

i am having a blast working on these group projects we have going on. things cost like 1/3 to do and get done much faster. we have a good group that gets along well together. probably wouldn't work for everyone. building a 9sec can in a matter of months for about $1500 of my own money(maybe $4k total) was a lot of fun.

the nova we are doing should be in the 8's. probably be into the car for around $10k total. so far it has been fun working on. dont miss the truck at all. besides all that i have a nice chunk of change set aside to go into an insane garage as soon as the winter breaks.

and about the truck going to mexico. i work construction. lots of hispanics are in construction in one way or another. i seem to get along well with 90% of them. very nice group of people. in general they seem to have a strong work ethic and tight family relationships. if i have any preconcived ideas about a "mexican" they would be all positive. i am thrilled to see the truck being used for what it was built for.

"La" is used kind of like "the" or "1" but its in spanish. It is not offensive at all when used in any way other than how it is being thrown around this board lately. There are 800+ members (I checked) that start with "the" and another 900+ that start with the number "1" between here and ls1tech. You rarely see the bullshit that has been on here lately with any of those members.

Get it?

XLR8NSS has even brought this up before and it is still going on. Bans were gonna be handed out according to him but I doubt it has happened.
