Compare the lag of the supra vs this mustang.

That's the correct way to get those kinda numbers. I'd like to see the dyno charts of each car and compare them. I bet you that supra was hovering around 7-800hp in the meat of his pulls. Not bad by any means but 500 hp short of what it's claiming!

I dunno, the hot side isn't very big, I wouldn't think it has a lot of problems with lag in the real world. There are so many ways to tune around it now, so many "gizmos" available to help spool decent turbos on smaller motors, etc.

There is a local guy here running a 91 mm on a Supra and his does not spool up until the last 2k of his rpm band. He has to brake boost at highway speeds to start with any boost. Thing puts close to 1400 to the ground. He walked of from a 1100 rwhp camaro hard from a roll. At the track he can't even heat up his tires unless he gets on the 2-step to build booost. He only runs high 10s. He does trap in the upper 150s though.

Is that because of lag or traction, though? I have a few friends with 1000+ rwhp high 9/low 10 second Supras and they have no problems with lag, but lots of problems with traction.
If you're calling "lag" loafing along in 6th gear at 50 mph, flooring it and waiting for the boost to hit, then yes, they're going to have lag. But grab a few gears lower, give it an overload of fuel for a half a second and away you go. At the track, antilag, two steps, timing control, etc all really take care of the situation.
If what you guys are referring to is the street stuff then blah, sure. I don't street race, don't care about street racing, roll racing, or anything like that so it wasn't my frame of reference. Sorry for not being clear.
