What needs to be done with the PCV valve on the new valley cover? I've read on the 6.0 in the g8 they plug the one in the driver side valve cover and run a new tube from valley cover to intake. Is this the same thing on these motors?

it's to your advantage to use the new PVC in the valley cover and keep the oil out of the intake.

The two breathers on the valve covers can be completely blocked off.

So where do you vent the PCV tube from the valley cover? As it is now, I have the driver side breather going from the valve cover to the top of the intake manifold, and on the passenger valve cover to the CAI tube.

cap off both valve covers.
cap off the top of the intake - this is the vac supply for the drivers side.

get a longer hose, and run it from the intake TB vac (that used to goto the driver's side) to the new location on the valley cover.

With the new LS6/7 valley cover, you only need one suction point.

If you have a catch can, you can plum all 3 lines into a catch can, and then into the intake.

Ok, yeah that makes sense, thanks.

I'm curious if you measured preload with those 7.4 rods, what the measurement was?

no I didn't. Owner ordered parts. I did mark and spin the motor over after marking the valve tip. It was perfect center contact.
