when i wrecked my 97 gmc if i was wearing my seat belt i would have been killed or seriously fucked up. steering wheel hit the seat and broke the seat hinge, the pedals where just a few inches from the seat, as i had the seat all the way back im 6 4 and long legged.. so my chest would have been crushed and legs shattered if i was held down in the seat with a seatbelt.. ive got mixed opinions on seat belt and i dont think it should be a law to wear them

I'm not going to go in depth but surviving a wreck because you didn't wear a seat belt is the exception, not the rule. For people who end up in emergency rooms because of wrecks, far more people who wore their seat belt end up surviving than those who didn't. That's a fact and not just a personal opinion. However, I think it should be a personal choice and not a law.
