5.3 w Cam/125 shot vs Camaro SS A6
#11
If my car is a mid 12 sec car, do you think the truck would outrun me from a roll? I don't. From a dig, he would probably fare better as long as traction was good. Maybe my car is just a ringer....lol
On a side note, his cam is on a 113 lsa, and he only wanted the shifts at 6200 rpm (scared of the 60e). I said it should pull nice up to 6500 or 6600, but that was his call. That may be costing him a lot too.

@Rhino I'm still on the totally stock 4l60e and shifting @ 6400 in normal mode and 6500 in towhaul and the tranny is just fine. He would be fine in a RCSB going to 6400-6500 on the 4l60e. I don't use my sport mode aka tow haul mode that often, only on the interstate doing 75-125ish pulls. I also don't abuse the tranny by holding the brake and lighting up the tires. If you know how to take care of the 4L60E it can last, in a light RCSB. Some guys shift higher, but they don't care if something breaks lol.

Well if he wants to put a converter in and bump the shifts up, we'll try again...lol. But it won't be a good comparison because I'm about to tune my ecm and do a lil exhaust work. But itd be fun none the less.
Hell if it was my truck, I'd spin it to at least 6500. He went to a bigger grind cam than he had, but its a turd without a converter. I kinda expected a closer run, but it is what it is!
