Default 2010 Camaro SS vs 1998 Camaro SS

I know its not 2 truck but I was excited about this run.....lol.

I retuned a buddies car for him for gears and stall. 1998 SS, Ls1 intake still, but has lid, lt's, ory, udp, tune, 3.73's, Yank 3200, 224/228 cam. He wanted me to set it up to shift at 6300 to be on the safe side (stock bottom).

I thought I'd try him to see how it would play out, My car being a 2010 SS L99, tune only.

We went from as close to a dig as possible because of the mexican traffic, prolly 5-130. I dont know if he went on 2.5 honks or if I snoozed, regardless, was a great race.

I am hoping to run 12.5's with just a tune, we'll see soon...

Cell phone vid, sorry for the darkness, he is in left lane obviously and his lights show up pretty good....enjoy!

Lol, actually, his does have more left in it if he'd spin it up higher, but he's worried about the rod bolts.... On the log it is still climbing steady at 6300, if he took it to 6500 or 6600 it'd be a diff story prolly! He was at ls fest in KY and dynoed 345 with the converter, and before tweaking the tune, but his afr on the dyno run was 15.0. Got it fattened up in 12.5-13.0 range now it feels totally different. Hopefully he will re-dyno to see what it puts down.

Thanks for the comments fellers!

Man two stout cars
I was at LS fest and watched a few pulls I don't think that dyno was real accurate in the sense I think some cars should have better numbers but idk. I hope he picks up on re dyno, regardless good number

Yeah, his buddy has a canned m6 fbody that only put down like 360....he said everybody was dynoing low.
We logged a pass before tuning and it felt weak as bell, three passes throughr the maf to get fuel in line and it was a different car.

Lol I did, I wanted to bump the limited up to 6700 and shifts to 6500 or so. He is on stock trans too...for now. Pretty tight converter that old st3200 is, my yank was as loose as....well very loose.
