4.10s over 3.42s any day of the week. Each gear pulls harder. From 60 mine still drops down into 2nd on the highway.

it depends on your power level, tire height and vechicle weight...
i like the top end that 3.42s give me.

I shift out of 2nd at 80 or 81. My 4.10s are like 3.90s on a stock height tire.

I've actually timed a 50-100 punch, and the 4.10s are 1/2 second faster than the 3.42s. Also, when I get up around 100mph in 3rd, the 4.10s are pulling WAY better because the engine is around 5k rpms versus about 4k with the 3.42s. 3.42s are only useful if you're going over 125ish or so.

oh **** , well i shift out at like 95-98 third gear is ...alright nothing great , i raced my buddy with a tbss with a 4.10 and i keep up with him and as soon as he went into 3rd he pulled me hard ... i know if i get a 3.73 ill have a faster 1/4 but then i will have traction problems cause off the line i dont spin at all it jsut goes , but it sucks till about 15-20 mph .. oh well

Just ran an 08 yesterday with basically the same mods as my truck except he had a 3200 stall and 3.73 gears.

I pulled him through first and second and then when i switched into third he creeped up on me then when he switched into third we were even but we had to shut down due to traffic didn't get to see who pulled who

I love me 4.10's!! Wouldn't go back

4.10's FTW. All the faster trucks I see are running the 4.10
