The ported 5.3s would be better IMO. More compression. You would really have to mill the hell out of 243s to get similar compression as the milled 5.3s.

I'd have to have a lot of work done to the 862s to get them to flow as good as the 243s, and a little shot of nitrous later down the line might help some too

The stage 2.5 5.3s and stage 1 243s flow almost the same. The 243s have do have a better combustion chamber design. The 5.3s seem to be much more popular and I know we have several members here using them. IIRC, a 6.0 gained 31 rwhp with them.

Ya, but I dont have anything else to put there lol. Im going back up to a 125 shot, thats what I thought i was spraying this whole time. We will race again on the bigger jets soon.
