Why were you denied? Has the Guard decided that your injury will prevent you from being up to par? If you don't mind me asking, of course... Mad props anyhow, I sure as hell couldn't do what you have done.

I was in the same boat end of 2010. I was put on a perm profile and told I would ride a desk for the rest of my career, and it wasnt even for an injury sustained in combat. It's amazing how you can take a couple of bullets and be right back at it 4mos later, but you tear the **** out of your shoulder and they essentially kick you out. I decided to ETS right there as I was only 2mo away. I've had two surgeries since my ETS and am in better shape now than I ever was during my time in, but I can't get a single doctor to sign off on my waiver to re-enlist. I understand exactly how you feel. I've had to sit back and watch my buddies go back, again and again, wishing that I was with them.

I was denied out of high school because of a milk allergy. I think **** like that is a little much, but I've gotten past it. I know some of the military's decisions make no sense, and really degrade and put down a lot of people willing to serve.

Your right the military does do some stupid crap, I was just mad that day when I got the call saying I couldn't re-enlist due to some blood sugar problem that doesn't bother me as long as I eat at a normal schedule

My time in the military made me pretty sour too. For different reasons, but bullshit nonetheless. Sure they might consider you a mild liability while deployed, but how hard is it to carry around some granola bars? Utility uniforms have cargo pockets for a reason.
