Default newbie with an import truck

ok the plans are to put a 5.3 and a 4l60e into an 1985 nissan pickup. i know I'm gonna have to change rear ends also to handle the improved horsepower. the plans are cam,ls1 or 3 intake with cold air filter, headers and tune. WHAT ARE PEOPLE USING FOR REARENDS? the truck is 6 lug but i'd prefer to change to a 5 lug for more wheel choices. i will be doing away with leaf springs in favor of 4 link and coil overs.
THANKS

What are s10 or Colorado or canyon owners doing about a stronger rear end after installing a v8?

Im sure a s10 rear with a good center section would hold fine. The truck is light. Is the s10 rear the same width ?

I'm not sure on width of the s10 frame. I'm gonna have to narrow what ever reared I get because of the wheels I want to run. I'm just trying to see what other guys are doing for rear ends

Oh well if your going to narrow it anyway, a silvy rear 8.6 would be plenty in that truck. If your wanting to spend some money you could always go 9'' ford.
