Default Got me a new little daily racer!

Picked up this little truck the other day so I can have more down time with my GMC when doing any changes or new mods. Nice little truck have always wanted one but never thought i would really buy one. Its a 2012 model Z85 truck with the 3.7 I5 and 3.73s. Already put an intake and tune on it with a vette servo and cutout waiting to go on, and gotta say its moves around pretty decent for a little motor. Already looked into the stuff needed to do a v8/6l80 swap so have that on the to do list Thinking just a stock 6.2 with a 6l80 will make this truck plenty fun... maybe ill up the CI to a 427 to match my big truck will see lol

Not much everyone that's built one has trashed them. Couple people even built a motor and they didn't last either.

Wanted to boost mine so bad. But in the end just wasn't worth it. My 2nd motor was a 3.7.

Tune, no cats, intake, stock muffler with turndown. Loved it. Really loved the 5cylinders. But they didn't love me. I killed 3 of them haha

The Nation's Premier Chevrolet Colorado & GMC Canyon Forum is the best colorado forum. A lot of info there.

FYI if you kill your 3.7 you can ONLY put an 07 3.7 back in it. 08 changed and don't have a cam position sensor. Found that out out the hard way with my 3.7 swap in my red truck.

Someone's done some work on that truck. It's got the xtreme wheels, v8 handles, v8 Mirrors, little drop and you're all set.

Wheel selections are garbage

Cool yeah just signed up at 355nation the other day they have some good info there. Hopefully I don't blow up the 3.7 I plan on selling it when I do the v8 swap. As for parts added they are all factory the dealer I bought it from the sales lady was related to the owner he showed me pics of it when he bought it brand new. He ordered it in Virginia so not sure if area matters in what options were available. Either way I like it just gonna lower the back end a little bit to level it out and will be good with the exterior. Also my gauges are like the xtreme trucks but don't say xtreme so maybe it was just a certain packaged offered.



Hey bowtie502 how much are these little motors worth? It's a 2012 3.7 with 36k miles.

None of those were options really, the mirror s dont come painted on any single cabs and lots of other things didnt come that way. Looks like all oem stuff tho! Love the truck.

The 3.7 is worth $1200-1500 last time I checked
