Colorado Extreme??
#1
Just curious, I passed a Colorado on the other side of the road yesterday and it seemed to have the "Extreme" Package like the S-10 use to have. All I really saw was the badge on the door and the different bumpers. I was just curious if this was something from the factory or if it was just a kit?

basically it's a regular ZQ8 (sport suspension package) but it has a more lowered appearance due to the slightly different flare style and side skirts. It comes with 18's instead of the regular ZQ8's 17's, not to mention it also has the different front bumper that you noticed with a different foglight setup. Definately not bad looking trucks, I'd take a regular zq8 over an extreme, but that's my personal opinion.

Its an Xtreme not an extreme, and the new ones also feature some interior upgrades as well. Unless you really want an Xtreme; your better off getting a factory ZQ8 and spending the extra $2,000 to $3,000 on an exhaust and a N20 setup.

Just saying that now that I know a lot more about the colorado's there's different ways I would have done things with mine. Overall I'm really happy with it... except for the 3 cylinders GM forgot to install under the hood

There is a reason why ZQ8 trucks whoop *** when it comes to AutoX.

Then all you need is spindles and blocks for the rear and your good to go since your not changing the supension's ability to travel.

If your looking for a stock truck to leave alone and throw into some corners, yeah, a zq8 is good, but there's a lot more room for improvement with a z85 right now (aftermarket doesn't even recognize the zq8 yet for some reason... 2 years now)
