got a 99 model 4.3 with a 10 inch deep aluminum oil pan, want to put it in a boat that has only 8 inches of clearance, will an older steel pan fit on the newer block that had an aluminum pan or does anyone know of an aftermarket/custom pan supplier.

isnt a stock LS1 pan shallower?
