I have a 06 ls2 I am looking to put in an 01 silverado with the 5.3L
I have tried searching around and maybe I missed it. but basically I have a complete pull out with wiring, computer, intake - oil with accessories. my questions is if I put the ls2 computer and wire harness in will it work and not affect the rest of the truck such as dash cluster, transmission etc. or am I better to put all of my accessories on it. and change the reluctor wheel.
Will the throttle body fit on the ls2 intake?

I am putting a little bigger cam and thinking about headers.

 

You would have to do way more to run the 06 computer. It would be drive by wire, you'd need a APP sensor among many things and alot more wiring harness and even then because I'm not an expert here but it likely wouldnt work because there is so much different between what came on the 01 trucks and a 06 TBSS.

It's easier to run your 01 computer and just do the custom tune and it'll run fine.

 

just use the tbss engine with truck computer, harness etc
