I installed on a 2010 gmc sierra. I cut the lower support bracket off and grinded the weld spot flat and repainted. Then I realized how am I going to mount the grill bracket back on without the 2 mounting holes on the lower support. Fix was using the 2 out of 4 heavy sheet metal screws from the cooler install kit with some larger washer I had laying around. Used stainless hardware for the rest and stainless superlok compression fitting. Rerouted the temp and hood latch sensor no problem. Temp sensor went onto the passenger side air baffle. Small hole drilled into it and pushed it in. Took about 3-4 hours with my OCD. Came out pretty well. Thank you for the excellent brackets.

How much more fluid did you have to add to top it off? I am installing this in place of my factory cooler on my 2013 Yukon Denali. My trans temps get to 195-200 with no trailer here in Texas this summer so I am hoping the bigger cooler will help bring those down. Also, what was your timeline from sending funds to receiving the parts?

Wow that's hot. My truck is tuned and shifts harder and mine did not get above 190, but I also wasn't towing and I'm here in Fort hood. When it was complete I added a little over a quart of fluid. I recommend you do a full system flush of the dex 6 and replace filter after installing the new cooler. Dex 6 does not like to get above 170-180. What's funny even the manual stated operating temp is 150-170. After install my fluid doesn't get above 160 while driving. After sending funds it was about 5-7 days before I got a tracking number. Then a few more days after that. I don't have the exact timeline but my guesstimate from payment to delivery was around 8-12 days. Order the cooler from Oregon performance. They ship it better and it's the updated cooler in the Dana/spicer box. They remove the hardware and place it on the side in shipping so it doesn't damage the cooler.

If it's 100° outside in TX, that's only 80°-100° over ambient - completely normal. Mine typically runs that level when towing with a PerformaBuilt transmission. With the stock trans and stock cooler, it ran at that level empty, and hotter when towing. I never saw hotter than 206° stock, and in almost 2 years I haven't seen much over 190° with the built trans and the Tru-Cool. The main thing with this setup is it cools off 10x faster than it used to, once the converter locks and you get some airflow moving.
The PerformaBuilt trans has oiling and valve body mods that help keep the temp low to start with. The Tru-Cool just dumps that heat real quick.
