last night at work there was a truck trend magazine and a Saleen Truck is suppose to come out this year as an 07 model.... they said something about since SVT aint coming out with one, that Saleen decided to do one...
they claim 450hp/500torque... they come in 23"wheels... it does look real sharp looking...

also ROUSH is making some supercharged but they are only available in EC & CC.....

anybody heard something about it??

 

I saw some pics of one in a magazine.. should be pretty sweet, but from what people are saying the bigger f series arent as agile as the lightnings, they are heavier too.. Remember the Lightning can pull .85g's in stock form..

 

First read about the Saleen truck about a year and a half ago. There is no more SVT program, no more LIghtning, no more Cobra or Ford GT after 2007. The 2007 supercharged Saleen F-150's price tag is around $52,000

 

Another reason I hate Saleen is that say you spend the $45-50 for a brand new Saleen Mustang, Kelly Blue Book puts them in the same category as a Mustang GT, great resale value

not a fan of the body style, but that looks tough. Maybe its just because of whats under the hood, but tough none the less.

 

That is a sweet looking truck, for sure. But the price tag is rediculous. I saw it at the NY auto show and it looks just as good in person. With the anouncement of SVT being reborn and that they will produce a satng and a truck, the new L (whenever it shows up or sporttrac) should be pretty cool and cost at least $10k less than the Saleen/Roushe offerings.

 

Anything w/ the "Saleen" logo is gonna be way overpriced.When I bought my Saleen Focus in 03 they wanted $22-$23K while a regular loaded ZX3 was about $16-$17k.

It was in the press release by Ford at the NY auto Show. They said they would be building one Mustang and one truck, no other vehicles (fusion, focus...).

 

I was behind one of the newer F-150's a few days ago and I said to myself,
"Damn those things are huge." I mean the back tail gate looked as big as my Lightning's front hood. SVT would have thier hands full making a performance truck out of that.
