Major Problems Help!!!!!

Tried to install a diablo tuner on my friends 00 Lightning and once I tried to install the tune the truck would not turn on and now it just sits there and the crank turns but nothing. Wondering what could be wrong with it. Think maybe the ECU f'ed up or something so can we just buy another one and just unplug the old and plug the new??? Need HELP!!!!!!!

Try and flash it back to stock, sounds like somehow you lost power during the flash, if thats the case you will have to have a dealer reflash it, which is pricey if I remember. Most L owners shy away from Predator because they do more harm than good. The tunes that come with the tuner are real lean and tend to cause rods to escape out of the side of the block.
My advice is to try and get it back on the stock tune. The timing is real low, so don't worry about it with a pulley upgrade, you just wont see the full power out of it, but you will be safe and then get an XCAL2 tuner, I have had Predator, Xcal, SCT 9100, and now XCAL2 and love it

OK guys we tried to get it back to stock at least last night and this morning but no good. The diablo tuner tells us its unable to verify/idetify the vehicle type and it just wont do it at all. WTF can we do now??? How much was the reflash??? Where can we get a XCAL2 tuner at???

Dont know how it is for the Fords but I would think any good ASC certified mechanic could re-flash the unit, but I would first suggest you talk with Predator FIRST.
In my case, trying to reflash the PCM fried the module.

Talk to Diablo, see what they recommend. As soon as it's sorted, ditch the Diablo and go with the SCT Xcal 2.
BC, the newest revision to the Predator isn't as lean as the old tunes used to be. The tuner its self is still junk tho IMHO.

Ok so i guess we will contact Diablo and see what they say then we will go from there. I will post on this thread tomorrow afternoon to let you guys know what they said. but would still like to know how much to reflash???

If I had to guess I'd say it was bought off RPMOutlet site?? Most beginners to Lightning's buy one of their packages. Not to knock RPM or their products, but I prefer Lightning Force Performance, which is where I bought my XCAL2, as well as most of my other parts. D/FW's local tuner uses JDM as well as LFP for almost all Lightning needs. I have used LFP/JDM, as well as Johnny Lightning Performance, Chickenears, Razors Edge, and Power Surge Performance for my 2001 L, 2002 L, and 2004 L
Once you get it squared away with Predator, talk to Mark at LFP and he will get you in the right direction.
As for the dealership re-flash, Its been awhile since I remember my buddy getting it done, I'll do some other searches on other forums to see if I can uncover it
