If it were mine I'd just put a 6lb lower on it, change the plugs, get a tune, valve body, and cut the bottom out of the stock air box and drop in a K&N. This will provide you with all the power you'll ever get without big (pricey) bolt-ons, changing the blower, or going internal.

That'll work just fine...

Then i took it to the local ford dealership with and svt specialist on staff and had it tuned like a lightning. following this was magnaflow exhaust and high flow cats with jba shorties. To top it all of there was a little trans work and 4.10 gears in the rear. I also threw some lowering shackles on the back to drop the *** two inches so it sits level. I think with a new tune and a head swap i could get down in the high 11's or low 12's. All of this was done for around 8,000$.
Going from low 13's to low 12's take a lot more hp. I ran low 13's at about 425rwhp. Meth, more boost, and a 90mm upgrade got me to 12.50's. I am now making 500rwhp. The faster you get, the more effort it takes.

Just some thoughts...

if you really spent 8k on that combo you got raped hard, not trying to flame but just stating facts.

for 8k, you could have done a KB, nessecary fuel upgrades, tune, built tranny with stall and had a low low 12 second ride

Holy hell!!!! next time ask them for lube before they rape you like that, like tiffo said you could have a fully built motor for that amount of money. And I have been around the Lightning/Harley world a long time, never heard of a Ford dealership ever tuning vehicles, unless its turning them back to stock
