Rev limiter is 6200 but it rarely hit the limiter with A4 transmission.

I'm switching cam to Isky triple. Hence, I discovered this by chance while doing the cam swap. I'm also replacing piston rings and engine bearings.
Yeah that looks like hammered dog ****, not an oil supply issue, but rather a spring issue. I ran that same cam a long time ago and regularly shifted at 7200 rpm with it. Motor ran strong for about 4 years and never had to pull the valve cover off of it. Only about 4000-5000 street miles during that time, but almost all of it very hard miles and probably 100+ passes at the track. Don't remember what springs I had on it, but when I pulled the motor to sell it, I pulled the valve covers off for the buyer and everything looked brand new. Only thing I did have different was I was running a set of Comp gold race rockers. Just an FYI.

I've heard some not so great things about the gold springs. I run a set of BTR dual springs.

Man I've been away from the valve spring game way too long to just spout off a recommendation. Sorry
