if i am not mistaken, your 4.8 heads will work fine on a 5.7 and boost compression. do some checking. i have heard of a lot of 5.7 guys using 5.3 heads....just not sure if the 5.3 and 4.8 have the same cc.

thanks man but i was talking about gaskets not the heads but yeah i did do research on 862vs853 and i think i need to keep the 853 ls1 heads cuz the 862 4.8 heads will bump up the comp and i don't want to do that with fi.ls1 is already 10.1

They CAN be used, but you won't see any advantage from them.

You are probably thinking of the LS9 head gaskets....

i believe they would be the same bore, but the ls9 are 7 layer mls, and a bit thicker.
