thats why none are offered for the ls cause it messes with the knock sensors

yeah i feel the same way, nothing like dialing in a cam and having the timing set to dead nuts perfect.
i looked for a gear set when i was going to do my cam a few years back.
double roller is the way i went.

thats what im thinking prolly gonna be dumpn in almost 1500 to get my cam with the parts and tune

You really want to avoid gear drives. They are sloppy, noisy, and you'd need a reverse drive cam.

Timing chains have come a long way since the 60's and 70's. Stick with an LS2 chain and you'll be miles ahead of a gear driven set.

I agree with all of it and but what do you mean about a reverse cam?? Like it needs to run back, meaning the lobes be a diff position...

A reg gear drive will work with the same or reg rotation cam as it would with a chain..

pete jackson offered one a couple years back but i think they discontinued it...your knock sensors would hate you though

who cares about knock sensors? these motors are sewing machines already!

i think gilmer or gilmor or something like that... makes a gear drive .. no you dont have to use a reverse cam. why not just get the jesel belt drive ehhhhh?????????????
