Default what yall think about this combo

I'm in the process of building a 408 stroker. My goal is to be around 900 rwhp on boost. Anyway here is what i'm thinking
Callies Compstar 4" crank
Callies Compstar H-beam rods 6.125"
Wiseco 4.030 -20CC pistons
Clevite main and rod bearings
Right now i'm thinking of using my port and polished 243 heads

If I were going to buy new pistons, I would be getting something to work with L92 heads. Sell the 243 heads, and get L92 heads that will flow better and be cheaper. But that combo with a large turbo should get you there.

If you have the LY6 it will already have those heads on it. I believe they should have 823 cast in the front passenger side corner of the head.

Parts look fine, but the machining/assembly is more important than the parts brand.

You can make plenty of power with 243s, just size the turbo correctly.

I've seen nothing but failures with the precision 88's recently. I think there was even a failure on this site not to long ago. I'd look into the Borgs if I were you.

I used callies and wiseco in my 408 and really liked them both. Great quality for sure
