What long block should I buy? LSX? TP?

I would go with a 6.0 iron block 370 shortblock with forged rods and pistons from one of the reputable sponsors (<$3500). Use the rest of your budget for a good set of aftermarket heads and a custom spec cam to match.

I dont have any comment on who to buy from... but I do know if it was me I wouldnt be doing anything with a 4" crank. It seems they make more power, but also have more problems that other set ups.

Thanks for all the insight. The more I look at the LSX376, the more I like it. It has 260cc heads!!! TS recommended 240cc heads for the 408. I just think the LSX is a brute and the heads have good potential. Its looks like a motor I can pulley down the D1 and not have to worry about the bottom end.

LSX376 can't beat it its 5500 shipped from jegs iirc thats the route i plan on going when my stock lower end says bye bye
