What are good heads for a 5.3 .

I'm shooting for the 12s in my 08 silverado 4 door the cam is 231/236 .617 .601 112+2 going with a 4000k stall an 411. The truck has 243 right now I was thinking of jus porting them? What do y'all think?

Porting them wouldn't be a bad Idea and would be a good way to get a little extra flow on the top end.

Those are about as good as it gets for factory casting. A really good port and polish will make a significant difference.

proheads has a sub 900$ exchange for 5.3 heads.
stage 2 cnc port and big valves.
