Default What to do to my 6.0 before it goes in?

Ive got a low milage 2005 6.0 with a 4L80E i want to drop into my 03 turbocharged silverado 4.8L, I plan on staying with the turbo but upgrading to a larger, GT67 at the same time.

What size cam would you recommend? this is my daily driver so drivability is important.
What do I need to do to safely run 10-12psi all the time?

Yeah, do a cam while it's out, push rods and springs. It'll be wat easier out. If your going to add rod bolts now's the time.
Forged pistons?

Unless you are going all out the stock cam will make a ton of power at those boost levels. Stock f-body cams work well as do the vette cams and are wallet friendly.

did you get the wiring harness while you were at it? . . . if not you're going to need it.

I'm doing the same thing. Is 550 RWHP a realistic goal for a pretty much stock LQ4 on 15-18psi??

Mine will be a race car only, th350, a t76 and BS3 engine management.

Looking at the specs of the stock truck cam, it seems like an excelent turbo grind... would changing the cam make that much difference??

...and yes I know, the stock pistons will melt, the rod bolts will stretch, blah, blah. It wouldn't be the end of the world if this motor lets go, I'm a Ford guy so I'm used to making may more power than a stock shortblock should be able to withstand.

The stock pistons will hold up to alot more than you'd guess. As for the cam, it's just plain too small.

I want to built it to run reliably at 10-12psi all day long without any issues down the road so I was thinking pretty much what you guys have suggested, rod bolts, springs and cam. Possibly forged pistons, who makes a good set?
Also, how are the LS1 intake manifolds for FI? Was thinking about swapping over just for looks.

If you're going to go through the trouble of swapping intakes, do an LS6 or FAST.
