Default What cam?

well just got my federal check back and i think its time for a new cam but which cam would work best with my setup. I was thinking of something like a 224\227 58? 112. to work well with my full exaust. what do you guys think.

224/227 might be a little big, from what i understand and have been told, we 5.3's should stay about the 224/224 range you could get a nice 224/224 .581 112

A 224 Will Pull Hard Up Top, But For That Heavy Of A Truck, You Might Want Something Like A Comp 212/218 Or A 216/220 To Get That Thing To Move Out Of The Hole. Imo.

out of the hole you could get moving with some fat gears and a big stall too, everyones preference is different, IMO i'd rather get a bigger cam for the up top power and a big stall to get you moving so on track day you can pull hard the whole way because if you have a torque monster cam then you wont exactly pull hard up top and there isnt really any magic tranny part that will launch your top off like a stall does to the bottom. but if you wanted to compromise you could custom grind a 220/224 or something or a 218/224
