i pulled it out to take the block to the machine shop. and put it back in when i got the block back. it is like 2" long and has an o ring on the end of it. i used a pick to get it out.

That's the barbell that's supposed to be the block to allow the oil to flow from one lifter galley to the other. Without it you would lose all oil pressure to the upper end of your motor.

ok i will.

:offtopic: but did i miss something? did you blow the motor up, or just decide to move on to better things?
