Actually, Edelbrock will tell you that the power range on this manifold comes from testing with a carb. For EFI application it makes power through the entire RPM range.

Having said that, the OP doesn't need a manifold yet. I'd do the cam and heads and numerous other things before doing the Vic JR. You are no where near the limits of the stock manifold yet.
